Thug Life Box Office Day 5: Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan’s Gangster Saga Sees Drop But Passes Rs 40 Crore Mark

Kamal Haasan’s latest film Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, is off to a mixed start at the box office. While the movie opened strong, its performance has seen a steady decline over the first five days.

On Monday, the film earned around Rs 3.25 crore, according to early estimates. The movie had a solid opening day, collecting Rs 15.5 crore, with the Tamil version contributing Rs 13.35 crore, as per Sacnilk. However, earnings dropped sharply by nearly 54% on Friday to Rs 7.15 crore. It picked up slightly on Saturday with Rs 7.75 crore, but dipped again on Sunday with Rs 6.5 crore. Monday marked the film’s lowest daily collection so far, bringing the total to Rs 40.15 crore.

Thug Life Daywise Breakdown

On Monday, the Tamil version had the highest viewership, with an overall occupancy rate of 18.05%. Morning shows had 14.11%, afternoon 19.53%, evening 17.99%, and night 20.57%.

The Hindi version performed poorly, with an overall occupancy of just 5.09%. Morning shows were at 3.51%, afternoon at 4.31%, evening at 5.48%, and night at 7.06%.

The Telugu version did better than Hindi but not as well as Tamil. It had an overall occupancy of 14.25%, with morning at 12.87%, afternoon 15.37%, evening 15.81%, and night 12.94%.
