Over the years, Aham Sharma has built a strong reputation with his impactful performances and disciplined approach to acting. Known for choosing roles that allow him to explore depth and intensity, the actor has let his work speak louder than his presence off-screen. His journey reflects a rare balance of popularity and restraint in an industry driven by constant visibility.
Aham Sharma Says Actors Should Be Known For Their Work
Addressing why he prefers to maintain a low profile despite his popularity, Aham says it is not a conscious strategy but simply his nature. “This is how I am. It isn’t a very conscious choice,” he explains. “I believe as an actor, I should be known because of my work. When you talk in interviews, people understand what kind of person you are, but apart from my work, I don’t feel the need to talk about much else.”
He further adds that acting is his primary responsibility and everything else is secondary. “Essentially, my job is to act. What I do on screen is what matters. I want to be known for what and how I perform on screen. Beyond that, I don’t think it matters,” Aham shares.
Speaking about staying emotionally grounded in an industry obsessed with attention, Aham admits he doesn’t overthink it. “It doesn’t even occur to me,” he says. “If you truly love what you do, it keeps you occupied. Glamour and constant visibility are secondary, and they are also a choice.”
The actor also believes in surrendering to the process rather than being attached to outcomes. “You should give your 100 per cent and then let things happen on their own. Enjoy the process and the journey,” he says, adding that he is still learning but believes honest work eventually finds its way.
Aham Sharma was last seen on Star Plus’s Sampoorna, and fans are now eagerly awaiting his return with his next project.
