Badshah Tateeree Phir Se

Badshah’s latest track, Tateeree, recently sparked widespread controversy, drawing criticism over its allegedly explicit lyrics and visuals. The backlash quickly gained momentum, with concerns raised by officials, social organisations, and members of the public. As the debate intensified, the rapper responded by pulling down the song from all platforms and addressing the issue directly, signalling a course correction while acknowledging the sentiments involved.

Badshah Announces Tateeree Phir Se After Backlash

On April 10, Badshah took to Instagram to share a detailed note in Hindi, confirming that a revised version of the song will release soon. He wrote, “To the people of Haryana and to everyone around the world, over the past few weeks, we have listened to concerns raised by government officials, the women’s commission, social workers and others regarding our song Tateeree. Based on that, we have made necessary changes and removed any part that was considered objectionable. I respect this feedback and the sentiment behind it… Along with being an artist, our responsibility towards our society and culture is equally important.”

He further emphasised his intent to stay connected to his roots. “Tateeree Phir Se is a step forward in that direction. Your support, voice and faith have kept this song alive. I hope the new version also takes that spirit forward. Thank you to everyone who was part of this conversation, it helps grow as artists. Tateeree Phir Se will be released on April 14. Please listen, share and take it forward.”

Earlier, Badshah had also issued an apology to the National Commission for Women (NCW), assuring that he never intended to hurt sentiments. As part of his response, he pledged to support women’s empowerment initiatives, including sponsoring the education of 50 girls from economically weaker sections.

About Tateeree Controversy

Tateeree, a Haryanvi hip-hop track released on March 1, 2026, featured vocalist Simran Jaglan, with music composed and produced by Hiten. The song blended regional influences with contemporary rap. However, the content drew criticism soon after release, prompting authorities to act. The Haryana Police also stepped in, taking down multiple links of the song across social media platforms.

The controversy around Tateeree erupted soon after its release, with several groups raising objections to both its lyrics and visuals. Critics alleged that the song contained sexually suggestive and double-meaning lines that objectified women, while the music video amplified concerns by featuring girls in school uniforms dancing in a classroom-like setting. Many argued that this combination sent an inappropriate message, especially to younger audiences. The issue escalated further when people filed complaints with authorities, prompting legal scrutiny, police action, and intervention from the National Commission for Women, which flagged the allegedly “objectionable” content.

With the original version now removed, all eyes remain on the upcoming revised release, as Badshah attempts to strike a balance between creative expression and social responsibility.
