Actor Nani Recalls An Incident With Sai Pallavi

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Actor Nani recalls his time on the sets of Middle Class Abbayi with Sai Pallavi. He says, “This is from MCA: Middle Class Abbayi. In Hindi, it’s called Middle Class Abhay. This scene is with Pallavi, and it’s one of the cutest moments from the film. In the movie, she calls me “Nanigaru,” and I call her “Chinigaru.”

He continued with, “In fact, I called her “Chinigaru” even outside of the film once, and she messaged me saying Nanigaru.” I replied, “Chapani Chinigaru,” and that’s just how we still talk. This was our first film together, and since then we’ve worked on Shyam Singha Roy and others over the years.”

He added, “But I remember this particular scene very clearly. I saw it in the theatre on day one. I thought it was just a small, fun scene — there were many bigger action scenes in the film. But to my surprise, the audience cheered for this one like it was an action sequence.”

He concluded with, “It’s the moment where I kiss her, and then I look a bit unsure — like, “Did I do it right?” Then I say, “I don’t think I did it properly the first time… can I do it again?” And yeah, people just went mad.”
