In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the actress opened up about working with the actor, the easy camaraderie they shared on set, and a heartfelt moment when he stepped in to help her after she got injured. Amruta Khanvilkar On Working Opposite Emraan Hashmi
Talking about how it was working with Emraan Hashmi on Taskaree, Amruta credited him for creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere on set from the very beginning. She said, “ I think joh camaraderie hum teeno ke beech mein hai, all that credit I want to give to Emraan sir because the kind of approachability he had on sets, that really became like the key ingredient of our camaraderie. Joh meri, Nandish ki, aur Emraan sir ki hai, I mean he is a huge star. I have had hairstylists and makeup artists calling me up and telling me ‘humko ek baari aake unko dekhna hai, bas ek photo dilwa de’ but he was so approachable and so lovely on set.”
She then recalled a fun behind-the-scenes moment that helped break the ice between them during a uniform scene, which slowly turned into playful banter and bonding. She shared, “Mujhe aaj bhi yaad hai ek scene tha, jaha pe sabko custom officers ke uniform pehenne hai, but mujhe ek baar bhi nahi pehnaya pada matlab my audience had this complaint ki ‘aapko kyu nahi pehnaya unhone’ har role ki apni apni ek journey hoti hai, mere mein woh nahi tha, shayad season 2 mein ho? You never know…”
Amruta Khanvilkar Recalls The Ice-Breaking Moment With Emraan Hashmi
The actress further added, “Tab unke aur mere beech ka ice thoda break hua because he was like ‘ye bandi ko kyu nahi pehnaya ye uniform sirf humko kyu pehenna hai’ tab woh ice breaking moment mere aur Emraan sir ke beech me hua, and he used to talk, and he used to do masti and everything aur isiliye woh camaraderie dikhti hai, you know woh look exchange karna woh joke exchange karna, bohot mastikhor hai woh bohot zyada, bohot kam time me hume woh shoot karna padta tha.”
Sharing her experience working with the star, Amruta shared, “But it was amazing to work with him, ektoh he is such a fine actor, such a good looker he is, aur continuously woh customs ke uniform mein itne handsome dikhte the woh, and I’ve seen women going gaga over him, matlab totally gaga over him, but thanks to him we had this camaraderie, a friendship that we could explore in the series.”
Amruta Khanvilkar Opens Up About How Emraan Hashmi Helped Her When She Got Injured
Amruta also recalled a tense moment during an action sequence when she was injured, and Emraan immediately noticed something was wrong and rushed to help. She said, “I still remember jab mujhe lag gayi thi mujhe register nahi hua tha, Emraan sir was right behind me, aur unko pata lag gaya tha ki mujhe lag gayi hai, aur woh itna jerk aa gaya tha, toh mujhe samajh hi nahi aa raha tha hua kya toh maine unko dekha and he held my hand like this, and I just screamed very badly, and he was like ‘ice laao, ice laao’ and he put my hand in the ice bucket and everything but he was there when I got injured.”
