She says, “It is…I’m telling you, everyday I go like, ‘What is this life, these opportunities,’ that are happening. I don’t even think this is real life, I’m just imagining a fairy tale and I’m just going with it and, it doesn’t happen to people just like that, I just feel there is someone above who is looking out for me. Mom couldn’t believe that, she says, ‘I don’t know what she does’, she was so surprised when I got Karan Johar movie because, during mom’s time there was an appreciation of the craft of a person, that era had stars, proper stars.”

She continued, “Now, everyone is a celebrity, Instagram celebrity, it’s a very chindi thing, now we have celebrities in excess, pehele koi star aa jata tha toh lagta tha ki, ‘Oh my god,’ now the world has opened and there are celebs everywhere and because of that we are getting opportunities, and people like me who are recognized, who are working just for the sake of working, not anything else, I want the work and the money that’s it.”

Bun Tikki is an upcoming Indian film directed by Faraz Arif Ansari and produced by Manish Malhotra in collaboration with Jio Studios and Stage 5 Production. The film explores themes of identity, family, and societal expectations, centering on a seven-year-old boy, Shanu, and his father, Sidhant, as they navigate personal challenges and grief. Featuring a stellar cast including Abhay Deol, Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, and Anjali Anand, with Nushrratt Bharuccha in a special role, the film completed its shooting in April 2024. It had its world premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the USA and continues to generate buzz for its heartfelt storytelling.
