EXCLUSIVE: Anjini Dhawan Recalls How ‘Sikandar’ Salman Khan Remembered Her Because Of Father Siddharth Dhawan During Their FIRST Meet; Says, “A.R. Murugadoss Took Me…”

Anjini Dhawan is an actress who has already made a notable impact in Bollywood with her debut film Binny and Family in 2024. Hailing from a family deeply rooted in the film industry, Anjini is the niece of David Dhawan and cousin to actor Varun Dhawan. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Anjini Dhawan recalls her first meeting with Salman Khan on the sets of Sikandar.

Anjini Dhawan Opens Up On Working With ‘Sikandar’ Salman Khan

When asked about working with Salman Khan in Sikandar, Anjini Dhawan said, “When it comes to Sikandar, it’s just my second film, and I’m so grateful that I got the chance to work with Salman Sir and with Murugadoss, who is such a fantastic director. So I just feel very grateful that I got to be a part of such a film. Both of us (referring to Varun Dhawan) worked with him for the first time. It was amazing to be with Salman Khan, the actor, on set. I think the aura he brings on set is something else.”

She added, “When Salman Sir is on set, you know he’s on set. It’s like you’ll feel that he’s on set, and there’s a certain thing he puts in order. He doesn’t do anything; it’s just his vibe. It’s just that when Salman Khan enters, you’ll want to stand up by default. It’s like this headmaster kind of feeling. He doesn’t do anything, but he is very sweet, very calm, very warm. But you will automatically get up. You know, it’s just his aura. He has that superstar aura, and wherever he is, he owns the room.”

Anjini’s FIRST Meeting With Salman

Anjini recalls her first meeting with Salman Khan; she said, “Yeah, as an actor, when it was my first day of shoot, actually, okay, we weren’t shooting, but I think we were at the location at the same time. Director Sir took me to meet him, and he said, ‘You know, this is Anjani. She is playing Nisha.’ I was shaking from the inside. I was like, ‘Hello!’ and he was like, ‘Of course, I know her. You’re Sonu’s daughter (referring to her father, Siddharth Dhawan) like, you know me.’ I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, done, done!’ I was done there, and I was really excited.”
