Aradhana Sharma Opens Up On Playing Guddu In Rajni 2.0

After years of steady perseverance and quiet hustle, Aradhana Sharma is finally standing where she always dreamed of being, front and centre of a show that means something. The actress, who plays Guddu in the now-airing Rajni 2.0, calls this project “a long-awaited validation” of her journey.

Aradhana Sharma On Rajni 2.0

Got my own poster show after 4 years and I’m excited beyond words,” Aradhana says with emotion in her voice. “It’s not just another acting job for me. It’s been years of waiting, facing rejections, watching people move ahead while you tell yourself, ‘your time will come.’ And now that it finally has, I just feel grateful and charged to give it my all.”

The original 1985 classic Rajni, led by the late Priya Tendulkar, became a cultural awakening, a story that pushed society to confront injustice through the lens of a fearless woman. Decades later, Rajni 2.0 revives that spirit for today’s India, one still in need of courage and conscience.

“Rajni was never just a character; she was a revolution,” Aradhana reflects. “And when you become part of something that powerful, you automatically feel the weight of responsibility. You can’t take it lightly.”

Playing Guddu, a grounded yet fierce young woman, has been both empowering and demanding for the actress. “Guddu is raw, real, and unpredictable. She fights, she breaks, she heals, but she never gives up,” says Aradhana. “In many ways, she mirrors my own journey. I’ve had moments where I’ve wanted to give up, too, but something in me kept saying just hold on.”

Having already impressed audiences with her conviction in The Saira Khan Case, Aradhana says Rajni 2.0 has tested her like never before. “Every scene demanded truth you couldn’t act it, you had to live it,” she shares. “When the camera rolls and you’re delivering lines that reflect real struggles of women in society, you feel this surge of strength inside you. It’s not just a role anymore; it becomes a voice.”

Aradhana, “For seven years, I kept telling myself — your poster will come, your face will be up there one day. And when I saw it for the first time, I had tears in my eyes. Not because I made it, but because I didn’t quit.”

With Rajni 2.0 resonating strongly among viewers, Aradhana Sharma’s rise stands as a story of resilience, grit, and purpose, a reminder that when talent meets persistence, the wait is never wasted.
