EXCLUSIVE: Banita Sandhu Reveals One Thing That She Admires About Ratna Pathak Shah

She felt inspired by the professionalism and warmth the experienced actors brought, which created a supportive environment for everyone.

Banita especially admired Ratna Pathak Shah’s incredible depth and nuance in her performance, noting how gracefully she balanced strength and vulnerability. In a candid chat with Bollywood Bubble, she said, “Working with an ensemble cast like this was probably my favourite part of the whole experience—I learnt so much and we had the best time. Everyone was just as dedicated as the other. It was Arjun Tanwar’s debut film, and he was incredibly well-prepared. I learnt so much from him and his process—he’s really impressive.”

Admiring Ratna Pathak Shah, she said, “One thing I really admired about Ratna ma’am is that she thinks deeply about her character and their world on set, it’s a theatrical method and she never watches playback to stay in that zone.”

Furthermore, she concluded by talking about Boman Irani and said, “Boman sir, on the other hand, has his own technique—I noticed how he would improvise before the scene started to get into character. That was something new for me, and I started joining him in that to help capture those real moments once the camera was rolling. I learnt so much from every actor, regardless of how much experience they had in the industry. It was a truly great ensemble cast, and I’m grateful to be a part of this.”
