He says, ” I think Irrfan ko ek shabd me bolu toh, Sufi, he was just someone who was travelling, as souls, thodasa waqt yaha pe guzaar ke chale gaye, mujhe aisa lagta hai, with a deep knowledge of the craft, unko jab interviews me dekhta tha, kaam karne ke baad thoda bohot interaction ka mauka mila… I think he’s a travelling soul, iss planet pe aaye thode din bita kar chale gaye. Unka joh abhinay ke saath prem aur journey rahi hai woh alag hi tha.” (Irrfan was like a Sufi—a traveling soul who spent some time on this planet and moved on. His deep understanding of the craft and passion for acting set him apart. Watching his interviews and getting brief opportunities to interact with him made me realize how unique his journey truly was.)

He continued, “Jab mai D-Day kar raha tha, Ahmedabad me shoot kar rahe the toh Irrfan Sahab, Rishi Kapoor Sahab, Nikhil Advani Sahab, Arjun Rampal yeh sab the, aur mai junior hi tha toh mai yeh log jab baat karte the toh sunne ka mauka milta tha aur Rishi Sir aur Irfaan Sir lockdown me ek ke baad ek chale gaaye, woh mujhe bohot bura laga.” (When I was shooting D-Day in Ahmedabad, I had the chance to be around Irrfan Sahab, Rishi Kapoor Sahab, Nikhil Advani Sahab, and Arjun Rampal. As a junior, I would listen to their conversations. Losing Rishi Sir and Irrfan Sir back-to-back during the lockdown deeply saddened me.)
