Rishabh Kant Teams Up with Mohit Suri and Jubin Nautiyal for Barbaad in Saiyaara

Rishabh Kant, better known as The Rish, is quickly emerging as one of Bollywood’s most exciting music creators. Blending classical Indian melodies with the new-age pop sound, he represents what he calls “the genre of emotion.”

The Rish Says, ‘Every Era of Music Needs Mohit Suri

For his latest project, The Rish makes his composer debut with Barbaad, a collaboration with Mohit Suri for Yash Raj Films’ Saiyaara. Speaking about the same exclusively with Bollywood Bubble, he said, “Mohit Suri has always been the gold standard of music. Every decade, he changes the face of Bollywood music, introducing a new genre and style. I am so grateful he trusted my songwriting.”

The track features Jubin Nautiyal, whose romantic timbre brought the song’s emotion to life. Rish calls the lyrics “a journey from hesitation to surrender” and praises Jubin for delivering it with unmatched depth.

From playing in an English alt/rock band to creating Bollywood melodies, The Rish’s path is proof that genre boundaries can be redefined. With Barbaad, he’s ready to leave a lasting mark.

His journey began in 2021 with Sony Music on QARAN’s Hope You Don’t Mind. He soon found himself in Bollywood with Haanji and Desi Wine for Thank You For Coming and Ro Lehn De for Sachin-Jigar. Alongside his independent releases, he’s worked with Emiway Bantai, OAFF, Lisa Mishra, Nikhita Gandhi, and Raghav Chaitanya, building a rich, versatile portfolio.
