Opening up about her experience of portraying Safiya Baig, the negative lead in Sehar Hone Ko Hai, actress Falak Khan spoke passionately about how a supportive creative environment shapes an actor’s performance.
Falak Khan On Makers Support In Sehar Hone Ko Hai
Falak shares, “For any actor, feeling supported by the makers is extremely important. When producers and directors believe in you, you stop overthinking and start performing from the heart. That kind of support gives you the confidence to take risks and explore your character honestly.”
Talking about stepping into a negative role, she adds, “Playing Safiya Baig is not just about being negative on screen. It is about understanding her emotions, her reasons, and her journey. Such roles need constant guidance and reassurance, and I’m grateful that the makers of Sehar Hone Ko Hai always stand by me.”
Falak Khan Appreciates Creative Team
Appreciating the creative and writing team, Falak adds, “A powerful story is the soul of any show. Creative Producer & Writer Richa Yamini – a well-known name in the industry – has once again created a magical narrative that feels alive. Safiya Baig is written with layers, emotions, and depth, which challenges me as an actor and pushes me to give my best in every scene.”
She further explains the impact of strong writing, adding, “This story doesn’t just narrate events; it gives purpose to every character. When the writing is strong, an actor automatically connects with the character, and that connection translates beautifully on screen.”
Speaking about the director, Falak shares, “Maan Singh Manku sir has incredible clarity of vision. He doesn’t just tell you what to do; he helps you understand why a scene is important. That emotional guidance makes a huge difference while performing.”
Falak Khan On Creative Freedom
Highlighting the comfort and creative freedom on set, she adds, “They allow actors to express themselves while still keeping the story intact. That balance between discipline and creative freedom is very rare, and it brings authenticity to every performance.”
Expressing gratitude towards the producers – Dinesh Khetann, Abhishek Regi, Harish Shah – and the entire crew, Falak says, “The producers and the whole team of Sehar Hone Ko Hai have created an atmosphere where everyone feels respected. From technicians to actors, everyone works with dedication and positivity, and that unity is clearly visible on screen.”
She adds about her character and performance liberty, “The makers give you complete freedom to bring your own touch to the role. If I want to add a line or infuse a scene with my own nuances. Recently, my track included some negative elements mixed with comedy, and having that liberty made it more fun and authentic to perform.”
Concluding on a heartfelt note, Falak says, “I truly feel blessed to be part of a show where teamwork, strong storytelling, and emotional support are given priority. When the makers support you wholeheartedly, it motivates you to raise your own bar every single day.”
