Hirav Mehta Reveals Reason Behind Selective Censorship In Dhurandhar Franchise
Amid the success of Dhurandhar, discussions around its use of explicit language have been making headlines since its release. While some cuss words were clearly audible to the audience, others were muted. When asked about the reasoning behind this selective censorship, Hirav Mehta said, “I mean, I feel ki this movie is all about rawness. Toh dialogues bhi ekdum raw the. Matlab joh character ko feel karna chahiye us scene mein, woh wahi bol raha hai. Usko wahi dialogues diye hue hain. Toh kaafi saare dialogues hain joh censor board ne hataaye hain, but which kind of makes sense. Not all dialogues, not all words are supposed to be out there.”
He added,” But I think it was like everything was a perfect mix. Matlab sab kuch kaafi balanced laga. Aisa feel nahi hua ki gaaliyan kam thi ya zyada thi. Ek proper balance feel hua. Matlab jitna hona chahiye utna hi tha, aisa nahi ki sirf gaaliyan hi hain. Waisa feel movie mein ek bhi baar nahi hua.”
