Kajol Draws Parallels To The Trail 2’s Noyonika Sengupta

When asked about her statement that The Trial 2 is like opening an old wound, and for whom it was difficult, her or the character Noyonika, Kajol answered, “I think definitely, Noyonika, I think Noyonika is a character who is multi-layered. She’s a character who cares she cares about a lot of things. She is slightly vain; she worries about society, about what society has to say about her. She also worries about her children. So, there are a lot of things she has to deal with—along with her own insecurities about herself, and her insecurity about whether she is capable or not.”

She added, “So, Noyonika is a very, very multi-layered character, a very human character. And yes, I would say she is a lot like me. I would say that. But I’ve probably grown out of that. The insecurity part of it—that’s not me, that’s just not me. But I can act, I can portray it. Yes, of course. So, I did a little bit of acting there. But she is a lovely, lovely, lovely character. And to watch her grow from Season 1 to Season 2; I really have to give kudos to Umesh ji for guiding me through that entire, very complicated process of shooting it. And I’m super happy to see her journey.”
