Nidhi Shetty Chooses Consistent TV Work Over One-Time Film Roles
Speaking about brief roles and limited screen time, Nidhi Shetty stressed the importance of consistent work through television shows rather than taking up a one-time film role with limited opportunities. Citing Dhurandhar, she said, “Mujhe pata hai aisa lagta hai ki aap chhota bhi kaam karo na, woh bhi bahut hota hai logon ko jaanne ke liye. If you have seen Dhurandhar, so many people have done itna sa part, but the impact is so good, matlab people still recognize them. Pehle mera bhi yeh tha ki main karungi toh sirf main leads karungi, sirf main lead ke liye audition karungi. Aise maine serials ke kitne achhe-achhe roles ke auditions bhi mana kar diye. But then I realised, no, just keep working. Matlab chhota sa role bhi aapko bahut bada cheez de sakta hai.”
She continued,” And now, for Netflix and all, a lot of people are not main leads. Chhota sa kaam kar rahe hain, but they’re doing so well. Like Dhurandhar mein Danish (Pandor), he has done such a great job. People love him for what he’s doing. A lot of people love him more than Ranveer Singh. So I think you should just keep working. Agar aapko chhota sa bhi kaam mil raha hai na, aap bas karte raho. Kabhi na kabhi aapko recognition mil hi jayega—even if it’s on TV.”

Speaking about Gaurav Gera and Rakesh Bedi receiving recognition and immense love post Dhurandhar, Nidhi said, “Ab unko itna achha recognition pehle bhi mila tha, but with this movie, people will forever remember them. Like for me, I watched Dhurandhar 2, and I was like oh my God, amazing. The interval ke baad wala part, Rakesh (Bedi) sir totally nailed it.”

Sonali Singh watches films like it’s a job (and honestly, it kind of is). Currently pursuing her Master’s in Communication and Journalism, she lives somewhere between deadlines and movie scenes. If it’s Bollywood, she’s already invested—films, drama, and all the gossip included.
