Actress Payal Ghosh, who’s known for her stellar body of work in the South regional entertainment industry, has finally purchased a lavish house for herself in Mumbai’s famous Lokhandwala area. The actress paid a whopping amount of as much as 4 crores and eventually purchased a lavish flat from a Sindhi family in Mumbai. For the unversed, the actress had been house-hunting for as many as 6 years, and finally, after years of struggle, she managed to buy her own house. Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Bubble, Payal Ghosh reveals purchasing a lavish apartment in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala area.

Regarding her first major house purchase in the ‘City Of Dreams’, Payal shares, “I cannot express in words how I feel about this day. I have been living in Mumbai for so many years, and finally, to have a house of my own is special. Unfortunately, my case was one of those sad ones where, despite having the money that’s needed to buy a house, I couldn’t buy one. It’s hard to digest the fact for myself, but it took me 6 long years to find my apartment.”

She added, “While Mumbai is known for its glitz and glory, there’s also a very dark side to it, which no one talks about. Despite being an independent woman who’s earning her bread and butter, you never stop getting judged. Just because I am an actress, people have made their perceptions about me for the longest time, and I have faced situations where societies didn’t want anyone from the entertainment industry living there.”

Payal Ghosh Recalls Her Horrendous Experience While Purchasing An Apartment

Payal recalls a horrendous experience of purchasing a place in Mumbai. She said, “Here’s an independent woman who has earned her own money trying to buy her own house and all I get is rejections just because I am from the film industry and that’s why, people like to gossip about women from the industry and slut-shame them for the sake of it by generalizing everyone. No one wanted to trust me just because of my profession as an actress, and it’s truly sad.”

Concluding, the actress said, “I used to wonder what I had done wrong, as I was almost made to feel like I was a criminal who didn’t belong in society. But finally, someone chose to keep my profession aside and engage in a deal with me that’s truly life-changing. It’s a dream-come-true moment for me and I want to thank God and all my fans and well-wishers for praying that I see this day.”
