Sindhu Vee On Age Gap In Relationships
When asked about her character’s relationship with Akshay Dham – who is the same age as her daughters Pia and Sonal, and what she thinks of relationships where there’s an age gap. Sindhu Vee said, “The whole concept of what happens with Lakshmi and the younger guy… I want to reframe it, Lakshmi is figuring out that she wants – to be with someone who really wants to be with her. And then, age is the second issue. The age gap I don’t think it’s 25 years. I think it’s probably 15 years.”
She continued, “I mean, I’ve kind of done the math. I think Lakshmi had an arranged marriage, so she probably had her kids young, but you know, in India, as soon as you become a mom, they age you. You’re in the mummy category, right? They don’t think about you as a 34-year-old, you’re still a mom. That’s it. You’re finished here. But in other parts of the world…”
Sharing her views on age gaps in relationships, the actress said, “I mean if you, if you’re going to be 15 years younger, and it’s all legal – go for it.”
