Pratibha Ranta on working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Kiran Rao
During the interview, when Pratibha was asked about the difference she noticed between Bhansali and Kiran Rao as directors she bluntly shared her opinion. Ranta said, “There’s a lot of difference. Alot of difference. When I used to work with Kiran ma’am, and if we were performing a scene, Kiran ma’am would literally take me back in my life. When we were shooting a flashback scene where Jaya is telling her mom to let them do organic farming, ma’am told me to imagine that I’m in Shimla and convincing my parents to come here. Ma’am tackled it that way, and everything was going into a very realistic zone.”
She further continued, “When I was working with Sanjay sir, everything was so larger than life and very artistic. I mean both Kiran Ma’am and Sanjay Sir are very artistic. Although, both of them have a very different approach. The schooling that Kiran Ma’am has, I might not implement that in Sanjay Sir’s schooling because I have to follow what he is saying.”
Pratibha also opened up on her journey from her hometown Shimla and getting a chance to work with her sister Aabha Ranta in the same series. The actress also admitted to giving auditions even post the success of both her big budget works.
