Rahul Deshpande On The Pressure Of Working With O’Romeo’s Cast
When asked whether he felt any pressure working alongside stars like Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, and Vikrant Massey, Rahul Deshpande said, “Maine bahut pressure feel kiya, especially the first day. But I should tell you one thing, Vishal ji made me feel very comfortable. He was very respectful, very loving and caring towards me. Haala ki Marathi industry mein mujhe log ek classical singer ke taur par jaante hain, lekin us set par koi mujhe nahi jaanta tha. As a part of the character, I had to sing a song and then deliver the dialogue.”
Talking about his first shot, he added, “Mera pehla shot Vikrant ji ke saath tha. Take ke baad unhone kaha ‘Tumhari awaaz achhi hai.’ Maine kaha, ‘Thank you, sir.’ Phir ek retake hua, toh unhone phir kaha, ‘No, no, you really have a good voice.’ Tab Vishal ji ne kaha, ‘Arre tum Rahul ko nahi jaante, yeh bahut achha gaata hai. He is a very good classical singer. We also sang together.’ So that was an ice-break moment for me. Uske baad even Shahid ji, Nana ji, Triptii, sabne mujhe set par bahut comfortable feel karaya. So it was very easy to work.”
