Vikaas Verma On Salman Khan’s Sweet Gesture To Junior Artist

When asked about Salman Khan’s humble nature, Vikaas Verma shared a story, “Audience knows everything, mujhe lagta hai usne kabhi kuch bhi chhupaya nahi. Haan, unhone sab kuch public kar diya. Unhone jo bhi kiya, jo unko accha laga, wahi kiya. Ek incident batata hoon. Hum Dharavi mein shooting kar rahe the. Juniors aaye honge, aur 30 saal pehle ke bhi juniors the. Haan, toh bhai ne dekha aur bola, ‘Tere daant kahaan gaye?’ Usne bola, ‘Bas gir gaye.’ Toh bhai ne bola, ‘Sun, iska number le, iske daant theek karwa de.'”

(Audience knows everything about him. I think he never hid anything. Yes, he made everything public. He did whatever he felt like doing. Let me tell you about an incident. We were shooting in Dharavi. Juniors must have come, and there were juniors from 30 years ago as well. Yes, so the brother saw and said, ‘Where did your teeth go?’ He said, ‘They just fell out.’ So, he said, ‘Listen, take his number. Get his teeth fixed.’)

Concluding the actor said, “Bhai ne usko number dilwaya, apne bande ko bola, ‘Iske liye naye daant ka set bana do.’ Unhe waise karne ki zarurat nahi thi, lekin hum sab jaante hain ki woh kitne kind aur loving hai. Mujhe yeh nahi pata tha ki woh scene mein kaafi input dete hai. Jahan main galat kar raha tha, woh bolta, ‘Yeh mat karo, aise karo, toh behtar chalega.’ Haan, shuru mein thoda intimidating lagta tha, lekin baad mein humari zyada baatein hui. Shuru mein kam baatein hoti thi, lekin baad mein zyada hui.”

(Brother got the number for him, told his guy, and said, ‘Get him a new set of teeth.’ He didn’t really need to do that, but we all know how kind and loving he is. I didn’t know that he contributed a lot to the scene, giving input. Wherever I was wrong, he’d say, ‘Don’t do this, do it like this, it will work better.’ Yes, it was a bit intimidating at first, but later, we had more conversations. In the beginning, there were fewer talks, but later on, there were more.)
