EXCLUSIVE: Divya Prem Actress Megha Ray Urges All To Celebrate Diwali In An Animal-Friendly Manner; Says, “It’s Important To Have Fun Responsibly”

Actress Megha Ray, who is currently seen playing the titular role of Divya in Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, recently got candid with us about Diwali and how she celebrates it. During the conversation, the actress – who is also known for her impactful performances in shows like Apna Time Bhi Aayega and Sapnon Ki Chhalaang, also spoke to Bollywood Bubble about her fondest festive memories, and her love for a peaceful, eco-friendly and animal friendly celebration. Megha Ray Advocates An Animal-Friendly Diwali

Recalling her fondest Diwali memories from childhood, she shared, “I have always celebrated a silent Diwali. I’ve never liked noisy crackers, but phuljadis have always been my favorite and still bring a big smile to my face. I’ve spent all my Diwalis with phuljadis, and later I tried chakris and annars. My sweetest memories are of playing with friends in my building or celebrating in Odisha with my cousins. I still remember the designs on the old firecracker packets they have a nostalgic value.”

As someone who believes in celebrating responsibly and protecting animals from distress, Megha added, “I like silent Diwalis and being an animal lover, I get very disturbed seeing how scared they get because of loud sounds. Even sick people or those who need rest suffer during this time. It’s important to have fun responsibly because our enjoyment should not cause suffering to others. I’ve stopped bursting crackers and prefer using eco-friendly things. If I light phuljadis, I do it in a corner to reduce smoke. Now I only light one or two and stop. I don’t spend money on crackers I prefer lighting diyas, eating good food, and spending time with my family for a peaceful and eco-friendly Diwali.”

Megha’s reflections beautifully capture the essence of Diwali a celebration rooted in light, love, and gratitude. Through her words, she reminds everyone that the real spirit of the festival lies in togetherness and mindful joy.
