Actress Shriyam Bhagnani opened up about her entry into Bollywood and revealed how her cousin, actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani reacted to the surprising news. Shriyam made her debut with a small role in the action-packed film Baaghi 2, but what caught everyone’s attention was how quietly she stepped into the industry.
Shriyam Bhagnani Recalls Jackky Bhagnani’s Reaction
Speaking about Jackky’s response, Shriyam shared with Bollywood Bubble, “He’s my cousin, so it’s that cousin equation. I think he was surprised because I didn’t tell anyone. I’m a very private person when it comes to what I’m working on next. Even with Aap Jaisa Koi, I didn’t announce it for the longest time. Not that I was trying to keep it a secret—it’s just that I prefer to let my work speak for itself rather than talk about it.”
The actress said her decision to keep things under wraps was intentional, as she wanted to make her own mark without drawing attention. She added, “I remember when my first appearance was in Baaghi 2..and when that came out, the entire family was very surprised. My parents knew, of course, but apart from them, no one else did. They were all happily surprised and said, ‘We never knew she wanted to get into acting.’”
