As a social media creator, Sufi Motiwala brings fashion and culture to life through engaging content and honest critique. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, he opened up about how trolls affect him and shared his take on impersonations that take place on social media platforms.

Sufi Motiwala REACTS To Social Media Trolling

On asking whether online trolls affect him, Sufi said, “I’ve reached a point in my life where I don’t worry about trolls — I don’t ask myself if I need to please them or do something so they’ll stop. I’ve realised that as creators, our job is to start conversations; whatever I say or do will always get a split perception and reaction, and I’m okay with that divide.”

Opening up about people that impersonate him online, he said, “About people impersonating me — I remember telling Karan sir how anxious I felt seeing people rip off my green-screen bit: I didn’t invent fashion commentary, but when people copy my cadence, steal my lines, even the packaging and branding of how I do it, it’s really anxiety-inducing. I worked my way here on my own, and now others can just walk in because I’ve opened the path — and sometimes they end up doing it better than me. That’s an anxiety I have to live with, but Karan sir told me, “Darling, the OGs are the OGs,” so if that’s true, I’m just going to be happy being the OG.”
