EXCLUSIVE: Suniel Shetty Believes ‘Shyam’ Cannot Exist Without ‘Babu Bhaiya’ Paresh Rawal & ‘Raju’ Akshay Kumar In Hera Pheri Universe: “You Take Anyone Out, The Film Doesn’t Work”

Suniel Shetty is currently gearing up for the release of Kesari Veer with Sooraj Pancholi. Apart from this, his much talked film remains Hera Pheri 3. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Suniel talks about being a secure actor and doing multi-starrers stating what makes Border and Hera Pheri stand out. Suniel Shetty believes how Hera Pheri is incomplete without Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.

Suniel Shetty On Hera Pheri And Border

When asked what prompts Suniel to be a part of multi-starrers, the actor says, “I guess it’s always the role, it’s the character. What’s exciting about being a part of a multi-star cast film. The beauty is the character. Where do you get to play such kinds of characters? How often do such characters come to you? Very rare.”

He further takes example or Border and Hera Pheri and states, “For me, I was a part of Border, but everybody got equal amount of love and adulation, and till today we live on those characters. When it comes to Hera Pheri, if it wasn’t Babu Bhai (Paresh Rawal) and Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty) wouldn’t exist and he has no meaning. You take any one of them out, and the film doesn’t work.” To note, as per latest update Paresh Rawal has quit the franchise due to creative differences.

Speaking of his role in Kesari Veer, the actor remarks, “Likewise with this film, it’s the character that I got to play. Supporting someone who was a true leader. Supporting Suraj’s character, whose daughter was in love with him. You don’t get to play these kinds of characters. So for me, such a character, even if it’s just two scenes with that kind of depth, I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. I’d want to do it because, you know, if it works, you’re a part of history. And if it doesn’t work, you’ve done your best as an actor—and that’s all an actor can afford to do.”
