EXCLUSIVE: Surbhi Chandna Opens Up About Creating Vivek Dahiya-Anaira Gupta’s Upcoming Track Ishtam; Says, “It’s A Blend Of Bollywood, South And Soul”

Actress Surbhi Chandna is stepping behind the camera with full creative force, and her upcoming song, Ishtam, proves just how passionate she is about storytelling. Set to release on April 14th under her label Feel Good Originals, Ishtam is not your average music video. It’s a cultural crossover wrapped in emotion, color, and soul.

Surbhi Chandna Reveals Shooting In Kerala And Exploring The Local Culture

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Surbhi talked about the upcoming track and said, “Ishtam has been in the making for a while now. While other songs like Jaan E Jaan and Zikr Tera came out quicker, this one needed time, heart, and a whole lot of soul.”

She added, “We even went down to Kerala to soak in the local culture. From learning Malayalam to studying Kathakali and finding the perfect Illam (traditional home), we didn’t cut corners.”

But the fusion doesn’t stop there. With her husband Karan’s Rajasthani roots, Ishtam beautifully merges two worlds. “We got married in Jaipur, so Rajasthan holds a special place in our hearts. Salamat Khan, who sings in Ishtam, was actually supposed to perform at our wedding but it didn’t work out. We knew we had to have him in this project.”

The soulful track Ishtam features Vivek Dahiya as Avyan and Anaira Gupta as Adhira. It is presented by Surbhi Chandna and Feel Good Originals. The song is directed by Mahesh Anitha Kunta and co-directed by Tanmay Mohite. It is composed by KavyaKriti and penned by Sreekanth Varrier and Karan Sharma, who is also Surbhi’s husband.
