EXCLUSIVE: Tanishk Bagchi CLARIFIES His Statement On Staying Away From Remixes; Admits He Would Love To Collaborate For Raatan Lambiyaan’s Remix

Tanishk Bagchi is a music producer, composer, singer and lyricist in Hindi films. He is known for tracks like Vaaste, Bolna, Ve Maahi, Aankh Maarey (recreated), Dilbar (recreated), Jehda Nasha (recreated) and Lut Gaye (recreated). In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Tanishk Bagchi clarifies his statement on staying away from remixes and admits he would love his original song to have a remix.

When asked why he announced staying away from remixes now, Tanishk Bagchi said, “Mujhe honestly yeh laga ki main jo original songs karta hoon, abhi mujhe lagta hai ki mera respect thoda badh jaata hai production house mein. Samajh gaye ho na, production house mein kya hota hai, jab bhi mera naam jaata hai, wo sochate hain, ‘Arey, isne remix kiya hai, remix hi banata hai.’ Par jab main wahan jaata hoon, ‘Arey, Ratan hampe, ki yeh kiya hai, toh bata re, yahi kar sakta hai,’ toh unko bolna padta hai. Toh bolne waale baat mein mujhe thoda takleef hota hai ki main kyun bolu. Isliye maine socha, ‘Theek hai, thoda halt karta hoon, remix nahi karta hoon, yeh karta hoon.'”

Continuing, he said, “Lekin phir mujhe samajh mein aaya, agar maine halt kar liya, toh phir kachra chalu ho jaayega, kachre ki tarah remix jaayenge, aur phir wapas woh gandagi phail jayegi. Kyunki kya hota hai, kuch bhi cheez start hoti hai na, uska destruction aata hai, destroy ho jaata hai usko. Aur mujhe woh nahi karna hai, toh maine decide kiya, ‘Main karunga zaroori creation, par better purpose ke liye, jaise agar film ko woh gaana chahiye ho'”.

Bagchi said, “Aur koi kisi aur ko dene se behtar, main hi karunga, main usmein achha hoon, plus main koshish aur karunga ki original songs ho. Jo ho raha hai, jo ho raha hai, jo aapka poora current last couple ke sab gaane, sab gaane chalenge, sab gaane originals hain, usmein koi bhi aisa nahi hai ki aise copy hai, kya hai. Sab kuch achha hai, aur mujhe samajh mein aaya ki original kabhi market mein hai, logon ko pasand aata hai. Aur recreation bhi hai. Main live shows karta hoon, concerts kar raha hoon. Log chahte hain ki main Aankh Marey 50 times gaoon, aur waise hi Pakhana bhi 50 times gaata hoon. Par log har cheez ko love karte hain.”

Tanishk Bagchi Admits He Would Love If His Song Had A Remix

When asked if he would be comfortable with having a remix of one of his original tracks, Tanishk said, “Mujhe main khud ke gaane khud hi mix karta hoon. Maine chaar version rakhe hain, maine khud remix kiya. I would love it. I would love to collab on a song, like anything, because main bahar ke artist ke saath bhi collab karta hoon. Wo log kya karte hain, wo log gaana release karte hain na, main aapko batata hoon, bahar kaise kaam karte hain, unka ek gaane ka pachaas hazaar version banata hai.”

He concluded, “They give it to people to remix, to recreate, because they want to know wo gaana aur kitna sound mein ho sakta hai, jaa sakta hai. Toh Raatan Lambiyaan is a very good track to experiment on if anybody wants to work on it 100%. Matlab, main vaisa is letter hui nahi ki main pakad ke rakhunga. Mera tijori khula hua hai. Aap khazana jo hai leke jao, and but use it well, use it well. Late, because they want to know how much more that song can be explored, how it can sound. So Raata Lambe is a very good track to experiment on if anyone wants to work on it 100%. I’m not the type to hold on to it. My treasure is open. You can take the treasure, but use it well, use it well.”
