'The LunchBox' is one of Irrfan Khan's best movie till date. The star in the film is seen expresseing every emotion brillinatly. Also FYI, the film was screened at International Critics’ Week at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, and later won the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award also known as Grand Rail d’Or. Whoa!
The movie is based on the 2008 Noida double murder case, in which a teenage girl and her family servant was brutally murdered. Her parents were later convicted for the murders. Irrfan Khan essayed the role of Ashwin Kumar, a crime investigation officer and surely gave us goosebumps.
'Hindi Medium' (2017)
Irrfan Khan delivered a power-packed performance in 'Hindi Medium'. The film's story revolves around the life of a middle class couple who wishes to enter the likes of the elite. They believe that the way to make this happen would be through a high class education in English for their young daughter and hence their adventurous journey from rags to riches begin.
