He spoke about movies getting postponed and indefinite amount of movies releasing in a year, resulting in box office clashes. Speaking to a daily, John said, “As a producer, you have to understand that after your film releases, there are twenty other films releasing in a domino effect. Will everyone oblige your film and push theirs by a week? No. Everyone wants to be safe here. Remember one thing: Our industry is like a basket full of crabs. So, even if one is trying to get out of it, they will pull you back.”

He also spoke about the issue of demonetization that is bound to affect the common man and the film industry too. Said John, Everyone knows that demonetization has affected things. So I will not lie and say that it won’t impact the film. There will be a considerable impact, especially single screens because they deal mostly in cash. Right now, the common man would want to spend cash on basic necessities rather than buying movie tickets.”

John made a logical point which clearly proves that he is confident about his product and no issue can deter him from shifting the release date. ‘Force 2’ has managed to collect Rs 23.10 crore at the box office until now. The movie stars John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles and Tahir Raj Bhasin in a negative role. Helmed by Abhinay Deo, the movie released last Friday, November 18, 2016.
