Actor Ravi Teja’s upcoming Telugu film Khiladi’s release date is postponed due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in India. The film was slated to release in theatres worldwide on May 28. Today, Khiladi’s director Ramesh Varma took to his Twitter handle to announce the news of the delay with a brand new poster of Ravi Teja. He also wrote that a new release date will be announced soon.

He tweeted, “Keeping the current #Covid19 Pandemic in mind, Mass Maharaja @RaviTeja_offl’s #Khiladi has been postponed! A New Release Date will be announced soon”.

Khiladi’s teaser released on April 12. Ravi Teja is seen in a double role. In the teaser, we don’t see any of the characters saying dialogues but the background score by Devi Sri Prasad left everyone intrigued. Ravi Teja is seen as a murderer and also in a stylish avatar. Nothing much was revealed in the teaser but it was enough to create excitement among the fans.

Apart from Ravi Teja, Khiladi also stars Arjun Sarja, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vennela Kishore, Unni Mukundan, Dimple Hayathi, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Keshav Deepak among others. Produced by Satyanarayana Koneru, Khiladi is presented by Pen Studios. Ravi Teja’s last film was Krack.

Other Telugu films like Love Story, Narappa, Viraataparvam, and Tuck Jagadish’s release dates are also pushed due to the current situation.
