‘Mission Mangal’: Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee join Akshay in India’s first space film

Superstar Akshay Kumar has signed a contract with Fox Star Studios for a three-film deal and the first film to be made is titled ‘Mission Mangal’. The Khiladi who is playing the lead in India’s first space film has taken to his social media handle to introduce the cast of the film.

Yesterday Akshay Kumar took to his social media handle and shared a picture which features, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menon and wrote, “Proud and excited to bring the story of India’s Mars Mission, #MissionMangal to you. Coincidentally the mission was launched on this very date, 5th Nov. 2013. Meet the team and do share your best wishes for our shubh mangal journey. ‘Mission Mangal’ is being co-produced by R Balki, confirming the news Akshay said that, “With our combined energies we hope to create content that not only excites but also empowers.”

For the uninitiated, with the successful launch of the space probe on November 5, 2013, India became the first Asian country to reach the Mars orbit and the first country in the world to do so in its first attempt.
