NC22: Naga Chaitanya announces his next bilingual film with Venkat Prabhu

Actor Naga Chaitanya has signed his first film since his separation from Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Chay was last seen in Telugu romantic comedy Bangarraju with his actor dad Nagarjuna Akkineni. Now, Chaitanya has teamed up with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual film that is tentatively titled NC22. The film will mark Chay’s debut in Tamil. The announcement was made today with a launch ceremony.

Announcing his project with Naga Chaitanya, Venkat Prabhu took to Twitter and shared a picture from the launch event and wrote, “God is kind. With the blessings of almighty and my fans I am happy to announce my next, a bilingual film (Tamil & Telugu) with my brother @chay_akkineni (sic).” In the pic, Naga Chaitanya was seen wearing blue denim jeans with a blue hoodie.

The Love Story actor also shared the news on his Instagram handle and wrote that he is ‘looking forward to the exciting new journey’.

Srinivasaa Silver Screen that is backing NC 22 has also shared pictures from the launch ceremony. In one pic, the actor was seen receiving flowers from the makers.

Naga Chaitanya is making his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. He also has Thank You with filmmaker Vikram Kumar.

Talking about his split with Samantha, they announced it last year in October with a joint statement. Samantha has even unfollowed Chay on Instagram.
