Recently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin appealed to the general public and private organizations to donate generously to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) to help the government fight the Covid -19 pandemic. In a statement, Stalin said that the money collected from the donations will be spent for increasing oxygen beds, medicines, and life-saving gas and also for the infrastructure of hospitals, purchasing vaccines, and other medical expenses.

Well, after his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth and son-in-law, Vishagan, now superstar Rajinikanth has also donated to the TN CM Relief Fund. He met MK Stalin and handed him a cheque of Rs 50 lakh for the Covid-19 fight.

Apart from Rajinikanth, celebs like Suriya, Karthi, Vetrimaaran, Ajith, and others have also made donations to the CM Relief Fund.

On May 14, Soundarya Rajinikanth, her husband Vishagan, father-in-law Vanangamudi and her sister-in-law visited MK Stalin and they donated a cheque of Rs 1 crore to him. Sharing the news on Twitter, Soundarya wrote, “My father-in-law Mr S.S.Vanangamudi, husband Vishagan, his sister and I visited the honorable Chief minister @mkstalin sir this morning to hand over our contribution of 1cr for the chief ministers #CoronaReliefFund from our pharma company Apex laboratories, Makers of #Zincovit (sic).”

Coming back to Rajinikanth, he recently returned to Chennai after wrapping up the Hyderabad schedule of his upcoming movie Annaatthe.
