SP Balasubrahmanyam Death Anniversary: Celebs and fans pay tribute to the late legendary singer

SP Balasubrahmanyam aka SPB, on September 25, passed away last year after a long battle with Coronavirus. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai. And today, on his first death anniversary, fans and celebs have been taking to their respective social media to remember him with their tributes. Right from his songs to about him, fans are sharing tidbits about the iconic singer. The hashtag #SPBalasubrahmanyam on Twitter is trending since early morning.

For the unversed, back in August 2020, he was diagnosed with Covid-19 and was hospitalized. Though he eventually tested negative for the coronavirus, the virus had taken a toll on his lungs. He then died of lung failure. He had taken to his Facebook account to share a video message from the hospital saying that he will be back soon. However, his condition deteriorated and he was put on a ventilator. On September 25, his son SP Charan informed everyone that his father SP Balasubrahmanyam has passed on. He was cremated with full state honours.
