Actor Suriya on Thursday, announced his next project with director Bala with his father Sivakumar’s blessings. The film is said to be produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. Nothing much about it is revealed. For the unversed, Bala gave Suriya his first major break with Nandha. He was not that popular in Tamil cinema until Nandha. With the movie, Suriya’s career took a U-turn and he never looked back. Today, he is one of the most successful actors of Kollywood. While announcing the project, Suriya said that Bala has more faith in him than he has in himself.

Suriya shared a picture with his father and Bala and wrote in Tamil that is translated to English as, “The man who has more faith in me than myself. He is the one who introduced me to a whole new world and gave me an identity. 20 years later, I am standing before him with the same enthusiasm. With my father’s blessing, I am again starting a beautiful new journey with my brother Bala”.

Suriya also worked with Bala on Pithamagan, which also starred Vikram. It was also one of the great films in his career that earned him appreciation. Bala also backed Suriya’s Maayavi (2005). The last film directed by Bala was Varmaa, which was the remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy. But the movie didn’t release

Suriya is currently gearing up for the release of Jai Bhim that is releasing on Amazon Prime Video on November 2. He is playing a lawyer in the film. Currently, he is busy shooting for Etharkkum Thunindhavan, which is written and directed by Pandiraj. He will also star in Vaadi Vaasal by director Vetri Maaran.
