Thalapathy 66: Vijay’s remuneration for Vamshi Paidipally film will leave you SHOCKED

There is a good news for South superstar Vijay’s fans. His 66th film that is tentatively titled #Thalapathy66 will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally. As per a report in Filmibeat, the director confirmed it during a media interaction. He also revealed that an official announcement about the project will be made in June and the film will go on floors in 2022. The movie will be produced by Dil Raju. Earlier, reports stated that the film has been shelved due to the creative differences between the director and actor.

Vijay has confirmed the project as per reports. A close source to the film revealed to India Glitz that Master actor has already signed the bilingual project. Also, the report claimed that the actor has hiked his remuneration for the film which now makes him the highest-paid actor in South India. Reportedly, Vijay has taken home a whopping remuneration that exceeds his current pay by Rs 10-20 crore. Now, we are waiting for the official confirmation.

Vijay was last seen in Master that released in 2021. It also starred Vijay Sethupati. The movie got rave reviews and both were praised for their performances. It collected Rs 217 crore (in India) despite the Covid-19 pandemic and 50% occupancy in theatres. Vijay is currently busy with Beast that also has Pooja Hegde. The movie is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the movie also stars Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Aparna Das, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh, Lilliput Faruqui and Ankur Ajit Vikal. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has given the music.

A source close to the film shares, “The makers of Beast are looking at the start of Pongal next year for the film’s release, which will be on the 14th of January, 2022 so hopefully theatres will be open and functioning by then.”
