The trailer of the Another Simple Favor opens with Emily confronting Stephanie, inviting her to her wedding in Capri, which leaves Stephanie visibly perplexed. As the action unfolds in Italy, viewers are treated to a series of tense interactions between the two characters, punctuated by an explosion.

Throughout the trailer, Kendrick’s character is on a quest to decipher the mystery behind her invitation, while Lively’s character cryptically toasts “to old friends, new beginnings.” The synopsis teases, “Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) reunite on the stunning island of Capri for Emily’s lavish wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman. Along with a host of glamorous guests, anticipate murder and betrayal as uninvited twists and turns crash this wedding, rivaling the winding roads from Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”

The 2018 movie A Simple Favor explored the unraveling friendship between Emily and Stephanie after Emily mysteriously goes missing, revealing unexpected secrets from her past. Paul Feig, who directed the original, returns for the sequel, which will be available on Prime Video starting May 1.
