DC’s upcoming antihero movie, Black Adam debuted a brand new trailer at San Diego Comic-Con. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will portray the titular anti-hero. He will be seen taking on the Justice Society of America in the new trailer unleashed by the makers here. The movie also features Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher), Pierce Brosnan (Doctor Fate), Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone), and Aldis Hodge (Hawkman).

Black Adam trailer further teases The Rock’s debut as the DC antihero, who is imbued with superpowers courtesy of the ancient wizard Shazam.

The trailer that is filled with some outstanding action as Black Adam faces the Justice Society Of Americain. It also showed the two paths laid out before him on whether he will be the destroyer of the world or be its saviour.

The new promo was also shared by Dwayne on his social media, He wrote, “Born out of rage. Exclusive look at #BlackAdam that we JUST released in the electrified room of #ComicCon Hall. The hierarchy of power in the #DCUniverse is changing.”

Black Adam will introduce audiences to Teth-Adam who, nearly 5,000 years ago was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods. But also imprisoned just as quickly. How he is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra of The Shallows and Jungle Cruise fame, Black Adam is written by Adam Sztykiel, and The Mauritanian screenwriting pair Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. It also features Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu in pivotal roles.

Black Adam is scheduled for an Oct. 21 theatrical release.
