BTS, OT7, Comeback, SPRING 2026, ALBUM,

BTS holds the record as the most-streamed group on Spotify and made history as the first K-pop act to top both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Artist 100 charts in the United States. South Korea’s most profitable musical act has been on a self-described hiatus since 2022, as members fulfilled mandatory military service required for all Korean men under 30 amid ongoing tensions with North Korea. Post military discharge, BTS is back and has announced their Spring 2026 album and world tour.

BTS Reunites For Spring 2026

BTS announced their comeback scheduled for spring 2026, featuring a new album and a worldwide tour, igniting excitement among fans eagerly awaiting their return. With five members having completed their military service in June, industry insiders have been anticipating their reunion.

On Weverse, their official fan platform, band leader RM shared, “Starting in July… we’re planning to create something huge. From this month, we’ll gather and focus on making music.” He also confirmed, “Our group album is officially set to be released next spring,” adding, “We’ll go on tour starting next spring, so please look forward to seeing us around the world.”

BTS To Begin Music Production In USA

The group also announced plans to travel to the United States this month, where all seven members will regroup gradually to begin music production and prepare for upcoming performances. If released in spring 2026, their new album will mark their first in four years since “Proof,” which was South Korea’s best-selling album of 2022 with nearly 3.5 million copies sold.

Before their military service, BTS contributed over 5.5 trillion won (approximately $4 billion) annually to South Korea’s economy, according to the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute. This figure represents about 0.2 per cent of the country’s total GDP. BTS continues to set records as the most-streamed group on Spotify and the first K-pop act to top both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Artist 100 charts in the U.S.
