BTS’s Jin and Coldplay’s Chris Martin sharing the stage was an absolute trip down memory lane, transporting the audience back to 2022 when they collaborated on The Astronaut. This marked Jin’s return to the stage with the British band after three years, following their earlier collaboration on “My Universe” in 2021.

During Coldplay’s ongoing “Music of the Spheres 2025” concert in Seoul, Jin surprised the large audience by taking the stage with Chris Martin to perform “The Astronaut” live. This unforgettable moment highlighted Coldplay’s tour in South Korea and caused a stir among ARMY fans.

On April 19, Jin expressed his heartfelt sentiments to fans from both sides. He shared, “Before I went to the military, my last stage was Coldplay’s. Now, my first concert after my discharge is also Coldplay’s.” Chris Martin further emphasised the bond between the two artists.

He said, “It’s all because of you that we have this relationship with BTS. We missed you, man. You’ve been in the military but you still look so HANDSOME. Look at this beautiful man!”

This morning, Coldplay thanked BTS Jin for being a part of their Seoul concert last night.

BTS Jin After Military Discharge

Jin was discharged from the military in June, coinciding with the band’s debut anniversary. Since then, he has engaged in meet-and-greets with fans, collaborated with luxury brands, and served as the torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics. He also appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It was the time when he discussed his new album, Happy. Jin also performed Running Wild, marking his solo debut on the chat show. Jin had previously made a guest appearance at Coldplay’s Buenos Aires concert, where The Astronaut was performed for the first time.
