The highly anticipated season is currently in production after wrapping filming in Seoul, with a planned premiere set for early 2026. Netflix confirmed the completion of filming via its social media channels on July 17, sharing a behind-the-scenes video featuring the core cast.
Anna Cathcart’s XO, Kitty Season 3 Wraps Up Filming In Seoul
Although an official release date has yet to be announced, fans are speculating a release around the first quarter of next year, possibly March. Netflix officially announced the third season on Valentine’s Day this year, shortly after the second season concluded with a cliffhanger that left viewers eager to know whether Kitty would choose Min-Ho or Yuri. The lead, Anna, who plays Kitty, has shared an update on wrapping up this morning with a post. It featured a picture of her with the cast in pink pyjamas.
Reports indicate that the new season will introduce some fresh faces. Sule Thelwell (Saint X), Soy Kim (Like a French Film, Sorry Not Sorry), and Christine Hwang (Law and Order: SVU) have joined the cast. Additionally, Hojo Shin, who plays Jiwon, has been promoted to series regular. Thelwell will portray Marius, a new character who is a series regular. Kim and Hwang will reprise their roles as Yisoo and Gigi. Marius is notably the former roommate of Q (Anthony Keyvan), and the two share a backstory.
About XO, Kitty
A spin-off of the popular To All the Boys film series, XO, Kitty has become one of Netflix’s most successful teen shows. It debuted in May 2023 and quickly gained popularity. The renewal for a third season came less than a month after the second season wrapped in January 2025.
The series stars Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Choi Min-Young, and Anthony Keyvan in central roles. It follows Katherine Song-Covey, aka Kitty, during her time at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (K.I.S.S.). Her Seoul adventure explores themes of love, heartbreak, coming-of-age, discovering her sexuality, and uncovering her mother’s roots in Korea. For Season 3, Valentina Garza has taken over as showrunner, replacing Jessica O’Toole.
