Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in '102 Not Out'

There couldn’t be better news to start the day for all the fans of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor. Few days ago, Rishi Kapoor had announced on Twitter that he is soon going to team up with Big B for a project after a gap of almost 26 years. And today, the first look of their new film ‘102 Not Out’ is released which is exceptional. The film will feature Big B playing a 102-year-old and Rishi playing his son who will be 75-year-old in this film.

The film is directed by Umesh Shukla and is based on writer-director Saumya Joshi’s successful Gujarati play by the same name. Talking about it to a leading tabloid, Umesh Shukla has said, “Amitji and Rishiji are collaborating after 26 years. They are playing Gujarati characters for the first time. Being a Gujarati myself, I had certain references in my mind which we used to create their look.” [sic] (Also Read: Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan all set to team up once again on the big screen?)

“I had produced the original play and knew it could be turned into a film for its unique plot and humour. Saumya has written the film brilliantly,” added the director.

Further, Umesh Shukla added about Big B and Rishi speaking a few lines in Gujarati in the film, saying, “They are already good with the language and have a tutor on the set to guide them. All of us are having a blast. Both are extremely dedicated actors and have their own methods of working. We did a three-four days workshop last month and it was so much fun!” [sic]
