OK Jaanu

Shaad Ali’s ‘OK Jaanu’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor hit the theatres yesterday, January 13. The intense chemistry of the ‘Aashiqui 2’ pair was what got the viewers interested about this one, and the film has started with a fair collection at the box office.

On its first day, ‘OK Jaanu’ minted an amount of Rs 3.75-4 crore, which is decent. Although we do feel it could have done better, but it is decent enough.

A collection of Rs 4.5 crore was projected for the first day, which it didn’t quite reach.

The strongest parts to contribute were multiplexes in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. Collections in Delhi and East Punjab could have been fairer.

The film is an official remake of Mani Ratnam’s super hit Tamil flick ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’. Since the original one had garnered rave reviews from critics, the remake was anticipated as well. Even in that aspect, ‘OK Jaanu’ has done quite well.

Apart from Shraddha and Aditya’s sizzling chemistry, maestro AR Rahman’s music is what one looks up to in this one.
