Movie Synopsis:

“Simplicity is the most difficult thing to achieve”

This would best sum up the cult classic, Udaan which got accolades not only for it’s realistic portrayal of a fragmented middle class family but also for the remarkable camera work. The visuals enhance the taut experiences of Rohan, a 17 year old boy, expelled from school, forced to be an engineer by an abusive and alcoholic father but who is a writer at heart. The film is about Rohan eventually following his heart and freeing himself and his younger half brother Arjun from the shackles of a man whom he doesn’t call father but addresses as “Sir”. The film beautifully captures the silences that speak volumes. In its praise one can only say, “some things are best said, when left unsaid”
