Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' becomes tax free in Delhi

After shattering box office collections, winning critical acclaim and hearts, Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dangal’ is still continuing to inspire. On Tuesday, the biographical sports drama was declared tax free in Delhi and this good news was announced by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also heads the entertainment department. He said that they (government) have issued an order in this regard.

Manish Sisodia even took to Twitter to share this news, “#Dangal movie would be tax free in Delhi cinemas. Orders issued. It’s an inspiring movie to promote sports-spirit by @aamir_khan.” [sic]

Before the capital city, this Nitesh Tiwari directorial has also been declared tax free in the neighbouring states like Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

‘Dangal’ is a biographical sports drama based on wrestling coach Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir) who trained his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari in this sport.

The film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tanwar playing pivotal parts in it.
