Jolly LL.B 2 Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ features him as a lawyer who fights with an entire system single-handedly. As inspiring as his character sounds to us, a practicing advocate has recently expressed his displeasure over the depiction of judiciary system in the film.

At the same time, he demands that the term ‘LLB’ should be dropped from the film’s title.

Advocate Ajaykumar S. Waghmare, on January 19, filed the petition at Bombay High Court complaining that the title and a number of sequences in the film (as seen in the trailer) were demeaning for the Indian judiciary system.

According to the petition, the film has characters dancing on the terrace of the court and playing cards. Hence, the film is disrespectful towards legal proceedings and ethics. It further demanded that the trailer should be pulled down from social media platforms and television.

The case is likely to be heard on January 24 before the division bench consisting of V.M. Kanade and Justice Sangitrao Patil.
