‘Hindi Medium’ release date postponed, to clash with ‘Half Girlfriend’

The release of Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar-starrer ‘Hindi Medium’ has been postponed by a week. The movie which was slated to release on May 12 will now be releasing on May 19, 2017. The movie would have earlier faced a clash with YRF’s ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ and ‘Sarkar 3’, but now as the movie has been postponed, it will be clashing with Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’ on May 19, 2017. The makers have tweeted about the same as they write, “एक ज़रूरी सूचना Hindi Medium ki admission date extend ho gayi hai! 🙂 Dont forget to catch us in cinema halls on 19th May 2017.” Here’s the tweet:

This movie marks the debut of Pakistani actress Saba Qamar in Bollywood. Saba had earlier stated that she is keen on promoting the movie in India, but apparently the makers were against it. Irrfan Khan had said, “I don’t know the details. The producer will know better. But something is being planned.” The movie is directed by Saket Chaudhary and written by Zeenat Lakhani. The movie is scheduled for release on May 12, 2017.
