Karan Singh Tyagi has directed the film, Kesari Chapter 2. It is a poignant courtroom drama exploring a lesser-known chapter in Indian history. It follows the courageous journey of C Sankaran Nair and the aftermath of the devastating Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Serving as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 film Kesari, Akshay Kumar takes on the role of Sankaran Nair. He boldly confronts the British Empire in the courtroom. R Madhavan portrays British lawyer Neville McKinley. Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill, bringing to life the emotional and legal struggles of the era. The film is based on the book “The Case That Shook the Empire” by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. It has been co-produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
