Adivi Sesh recently addressed the decision to postpone the release of Dacoit, shedding light on the strategic move behind the shift. Initially planned for March 19, coinciding with Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, the date seemed ideal for the South market. However, due to limited showcasing opportunities and competition from Dhurandhar, the makers chose to wait. The actor, during the trailer launch today in Mumbai, clarified the previous clash between the two films. Scroll down to read what he said.

Adivi Sesh Admits Postponing Dacoit Release Would Benefit Makers

When asked if changing the release date of Dacoit would benefit in terms of more screenings, Adivi Sesh said, “Haan, because originally hum March 19th ko hi release karne wale the, because that’s also Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, toh hamare liye South version ke liye it was very good. Lekin kyunki humein theek tarah ke showcasing nahi mil rahi thi, because of my friend Aditya’s phenomenal Dhurandhar, we thought we should find the right showcasing. Aur jab hum confident hue apne distributors se ki April 10th ke liye bahut hi behtareen showcasing hai, matlab jiske jis time screen times hain, jis type ke theatres hain, only then we will announce the date.”
