Smt. Allu Kanakaratnam Garu, grandmother of actor Allu Arjun and wife of legendary Telugu actor Padma Shri Allu Ramalingaiah, passed away in the early hours of Saturday. She was 94 and had been dealing with age-related health issues. Her passing has deeply saddened the Allu family and the entire Telugu film industry.

Her mortal remains will be kept at the residence of her son, producer Allu Aravind, from 9 AM for close family, friends, and well-wishers to pay their respects. The final rites will be held this afternoon in Kokapet.
According to reports, Allu Arjun, who was in Mumbai shooting for director Atlee’s next film, has immediately returned to Hyderabad. Ram Charan, who was filming Peddi in Mysore, has also cancelled his schedule to be with the family.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, her son-in-law, is personally overseeing all the arrangements. Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu, who are currently in Vizag, are expected to arrive in Hyderabad on Sunday to pay their respects.
