While enjoying the perks of being a new mom, actress Deepika Padukone is also meticulously planning her comeback to films. The actress — who has been on a maternity break since the birth of her and Ranveer Singh’s first child, daughter Dua, will be seen playing a pivotal role in Shah Rukh Khan’s King as well as a big-budget Telugu film. But which? As reports, it will be Atlee’s much anticipated action spectacle AA22 x A6 opposite Allu Arjun and not Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit with Prabhas.

Deepika Padukone On Board Allu Arjun-Atlee’s AA22 x A6

According to a recent Peepingmoon report, Deepika has been discussing AA22×A6 with director Atlee for the past few months and recently sealed the deal. This actioner — which will their second collab after the SRK-led blockbuster Jawan, will also star Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor as the film’s other female leads. As per the report, the actress is reportedly asking for a monumental fee for her role. The casting for the other character is currently underway.

Talking about AA22 x A6, Atlee’s Rs 700 crore action spectacle promises electrifying onscreen chemistry between both Deepika and Allu. Talking about her look, the actress is said to be adopting a look tailored to the film’s narrative.

Deepika Out Of Sandeep Reddy Vanga-Prabhas’ Spirit

While Deepika Padukone is now all set to star opposite Allu Arjun in her second Telugu film, the actress has reported exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga-Prabhas’ Spirit. According to multiple Telugu outlets -including Gulte and Great Andhra, Deepika allegedly requested a strict 8-hour workday, which translates to just 6 hours of actual shoot time. Tension escalated further, when DP allegedly demanded a huge pay and share in the film’s profits. Additionally, insiders also claim she refused to deliver her dialogues in Telugu.

A source in the know informed Bollywood Hungama, “Sandeep Reddy Vanga got the shock of his life when Deepika Padukone refused to shoot for more than 6 hours a day for Spirit. That’s not all, the actress, via her agency, also started to demand an amendment to the contract. Their point of contention was simple – if the shoot extends beyond 100 days, Deepika will have to be paid extra for every single day of shoot beyond the commitment on paper.”

The insiders further revealed that Vanga sought to settle the dispute by speaking with his producer, but the attempts did not resolve the conflict as “Deepika and her team were not willing to bow.”
